The Chairman of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abd Al-Ghani Attari, received yesterday the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Palestine, Mahima Sikand, and her accompanying delegation, to discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields that serve the Palestinian commercial and industrial sectors.
During the meeting, held at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters, Mr. Attari emphasized the depth of the historical relations between Palestine and India and outlined ways to strengthen the distinguished economic relations between the two parties by facilitating trade exchange, organizing business visits, and holding trade fairs and economic conferences.
Mr. Attari also highlighted the importance of signing a memorandum of cooperation with the Indian Chambers of Commerce to enhance and facilitate import and export opportunities between the two parties.
In her part, Ambassador Sikand thanked the Chamber of Commerce for the warm welcome, emphasizing the depth of historical Indian-Palestinian relations. Ambassador Sikand also noted the embassy staff's willingness to provide support to industrialists and businesspeople and share expertise.
The meeting was attended by members of the Chamber's Board of Directors: Deputy Secretary Eng. Mohammad Abdeen, Mr. Hussam Qandil, Mr. Musa Shamiya, Treasures Mr. Saadi Al-Khalili, and Director General Salah Hussein.
