The Chairman of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry receives a European diplomatic delegation to discuss strengthening economic cooperation

 

Mr. Abdel Ghani Al-Attari, Chairman of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received in his office a European diplomatic delegation that included H.E. Ambassador Anick Van Calster, Consul General of the Kingdom of Belgium, and H.E. Ambassador Sophie Becker from the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem.

Al-Attari welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasizing the importance of this visit in strengthening economic and trade relations with friendly European countries and opening new horizons for joint cooperation, particularly in supporting the private sector and empowering small and medium-sized enterprises.

Al-Attari also reviewed the current state of the economic sector in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate and the challenges it faces, stressing the importance of enhancing international partnerships and exchanging expertise to help develop the business environment and achieve sustainable growth.

For their part, the Belgian Ambassador and Ms. Becker affirmed their countries’ interest in strengthening cooperation with Palestinian institutions and supporting efforts aimed at developing the local economy, noting the importance of continued coordination and joint work across various fields.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and exploring opportunities to implement joint programs and initiatives in the coming period.
