Chamber History

The Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) was established in 1950 by less than 100 merchants. It is a key institution representing the private sector in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. As a central pillar of economic activity in the governorate, RCCI plays a vital role in supporting and advancing the interests of more than 5,800 enterprises representing 20,000 individuals across various sectors, providing commercial, industrial, constructional, and craft services.

In addition to defending the members interests, the chamber established strong ties with many Arab and International Chambers. The Chamber aims to strengthen these ties, by sending various commerce delegates to these countries. Moreover, the Chamber is still proceeding with its role in providing mediation and arbitration among its members, in addition to participating in the discussions of laws pertaining to commerce and trade, such as regulation and income taxation laws.
