The Chairman of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Abd Al-Ghani Attari, received yesterday the Australian Representative to the State of Palestine, Ms. Bethany Randell, and her accompanying delegation, to discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields that serve the Palestinian commercial and industrial sectors.
During the meeting, held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry headquarters, Attari discussed the Palestinian economic situation, the accumulation of shekels, and the shortage of trucks entering the Palestinian territories through the Karama crossing, and its repercussions on Palestinians and the Palestinian market. Attari also emphasized the importance of supporting businesswomen and providing them with the training and empowerment they need in order to be able to build a strong Palestinian economy.
For her part, the Australian representative, Ms. Bethany Randell, thanked the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the warm welcome and for explaining the economic situation in Palestine. Randell emphasized that she would convey the situation to the Australian government and explore ways to further cooperate with the Chamber of Commerce.
