Mr. Abdul Ghani Al-Attari, Chairman of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed a joint cooperation agreement yesterday in his office with Mr. Ali Faroun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Banking Corporation (Ruwad). The agreement aims to contribute to supporting and developing the microfinance sector in Palestine.
The goal is to empower small and micro-enterprises and expand the scope of microfinance services to achieve sustainable development goals and social justice. Under this partnership, the two institutions will work to design and implement various financing programs and provide training and advisory services that contribute to strengthening the capabilities of small and micro-enterprise owners in the areas of financial management, marketing, and business development, enhancing the chances of success and sustainability of their projects. The agreement also aims to create a collaborative environment to contribute to the advancement of the microfinance sector in Palestine.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Najeh Al-Qadi, Mr. Hussam Qandil, and Mr. Saadi Al-Khalili, the General Manager, Mr. Salah Hussein, the Director of Public Relations and Media, Mrs. Rasha Assi, and the Director of the Office of the President of the Chamber, Mrs. Maysoun Qaraan. The member of the Management Committee of the Palestinian Banking Corporation, Rawad, Mr. Bahaa Sartawi, the Director of the Credit Department, Mr. Muhammad Khair, and the Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Liqaa Zaher, were also present.
