2.Consultancy Services

The Chamber of Commerce offers a number of consultative services in different aspects to meet the needs of the General Assembly members. Such consultations usually cover the following areas:

·Procedures of import, export, shipment, clearance and commercial agencies.

·Administrative and organizational affairs" as the Organizational Structure" and Job Specifications.

·Feasibility Studies .

·Financial Management and Bookkeeping.

·Marketing and the external markets.

·Management of Personnel Affairs; Production Management and Quality Control.

·The commercial law.

·Other consultation services

 

3.The INTERNET

·Publishing the Company's Profile on the Chamber's website on the Internet  for the subscribed institutes in the chamber.

·Adding the names and titles of the subscribed member institutes in the chamber at four web sites for publicity purposes.

·Help the subscribed member institutions in designing a web page to those who are willing to present their institution on the Internet.

 

4.Data & Information

One of the basic services that the chamber of commerce offers is the provision of the pieces of information via its updated database that covers most economic domains in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate. These  information are presented to the private sector, businessmen, merchants, industrial manufacturers and craftsmen; and to researchers as well as economic centers and

to other interested bodies.

 

The database includes names, titles and addresses of the following sectors:

1.Over 1500 local Business entities  in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate are classified on the bases of  economic sector.

2.A roster of companies and corporations in other Palestinian Governorate.

3.A list of the industrial associations; together with a roster of local and international promotion centers.

4.The consulates and the commercial attaché in the Palestinian territories.

5.The Palestinian chambers of commerce in all Governorates.

6.The chambers of commerce in the Arab and the foreign countries.

7.Foreign and Arab economic and business corporations.

 

The Chamber also offers information it's members about:

1.Raw material sources that are essential to production.

2.Equipments, tools, machines and production lines that are essential to the industry.

3.Articles, commodities and products of both Arab and foreign companies.

4.Arab and foreign markets.

 

5.Bulletins, Printings, and Publications:

The Chamber opts for providing data in a simple form that can be easily accessed to all the respected parties. It, therefore, adopted a continuous policy of writing and issuing a number of books, studies, bulletins and announcements. Paramount amongst is the following:

·A Study on the administrative professions and its impact on the exportable ability of the industrial companies in Ramallah.

·A Study on the role of the Palestinian private sector corporations in the development of small-sized projects.

7.Mediation and Arbitration:

The chamber offers mediation and arbitration services in commercial disputes that happen among the general assembly members. Request for arbitration can be directly submitted to the president's office or the secretary-general.

 

8.Other Members Service

As a result of the Chamber's interests to facilitate the mission of its members and to offer them all possible services; it has founded a special section that solely deals with The subscribed merchants and members at the chamber since the beginning of the year 1999. This section mainly aims at: -

·Following-up the registration of new members; and ensuring the fulfillment of their applications to the membership requirements of affiliation to the Chamber of Commerce.

·Opening files for the newly-registered members; together with filing and Documenting these files both manually and mechanically (i.e. filing by The computer).

·Following-up and documenting membership payments; along with subscription fees by means of the merchants program.

·Issuing special membership certificates for the general assembly members.

·Issuing identity cards for the general assembly members.

·Accrediting and ratifying on different kind of documents.
