Chamber mission
The chamber's main mission is to
represent and promote the private
sector's interests at all levels.
Main
goals:

sector at all levels

To provide a wide range of advanced
information services

To supply high quality local and
international trade services

To organize a full range of
promotional marketing activities

To arrange and organize training
courses
-
To organize and support the
mediation and arbitration activities
among its members
Chamber's General Assembly:
Ramallah/Albireh chamber of commerce &
industry general assembly consists of
the owners of all trade, industrial and
service establishments whose business is
conducted in the district. These members
have the rights, as given by the
chamber's laws, to elect and run for the
administrative board, and to participate
in the activities and committees
pertaining to the establishment of the
chamber's plans and policies.
Classification basis for the general
board
The establishment capital investment is
considered the main economical
indication for the classification for
the members where every classification
has a range for the capital investment
that fits the projects' sizes and their
economical importance. Therefore the
members were divided into four different
groups or classifications:
The premier level:
This class encompasses all the
establishments with capital investments
exceeding 50,000 Jordanian Dinars. This
class represents the largest
establishments in the district.
First:
This class represents all the
establishments with capital investment
ranging between 15,000 JD and 50,000 JD.
This class represents the middle- sized
establishments.
Second:
This class represents the establishments
with capital investment ranging between
6,000 JD and 15,000 JD. This class
represents the small retail and service
establishments.
Third:
This class represents the
individuals and micro entities whose
capital investment is less than 6,000
JD.
Specialization
1.
The Chamber's major task is to
collect, organize, classify and
circulate data and statistics of the
industrial and commercial sectors.
Moreover, it provides official
departments with data, pieces of
information and relevant commercial,
industrial and economic issues, in
general.

The Chamber provides general assembly
the ministries and the respective
parties with services suggestions and
opinions in the following matters: -

The relevant laws and regulations of
commerce, industry and agriculture
that lead to the development and
prosperity of the commercial and
industrial actions.

The customs' Tariff and all the
relevant data of import and export.
-
All other matters in direct
association with the trade and the
industry's progress in the
Governorate.

Accrediting and ratifying
Certificates of Origin to the
articles, and commodities of
commercial, industrial and
agricultural products; together with
all of the certificates that the
Minister of Economy and Trade
authorizes the Chamber to issue.

Nominating experts based on the
requests of the authority , courts ,
municipalities or from trade and
industry employers in order to study
certain commercial and industrial
notions ;including the examination
of debatable goods and the
ratification of the experts
certificate in this regard.

Convening of the economic
conferences in Palestine and taking
part in the economic conferences
outside the country.

Ratifying the submitted data and
documents either from individuals or
commercial firms in order to obtain
a new, renew or modify a commercial
register.

Conducting arbitration in the
submitted commercial disputes to the
chamber; this is always carried out
with total coordination with the
conflicted parties. Following up the
protests and complaints of the
General Assembly members; wherein it
defends their rights in front of
both the formal and informal bodies
so as to find solutions for these
complaints and in order to protect
their rights by any possible means.

Involving the private sector in the
establishment of commercial,
industrial and agricultural markets
and exhibitions.

Networking and exchanging of
knowledge and expertise with other
correlated Chambers of Commerce and
economic corporations at the local,
regional and international levels.

Building the capacities of the
General Assembly members and their
employees by offering them a number
of training courses in the fields of
administration, languages,
vocational skills …etc.

Representing the General Assembly
members in front of the official
sides, defending their rights and
assisting in solving any problems
they encounter.
The Chamber enjoys the right to
constitute from its professional members
certain committees to undertake some of
its tasks. It also has the right to form
committees to assist in carrying out
other assignments that may a rise. |
